How to get to Nieuwpoort?

By trailer:

We expect most owners to choose this transportation method. Please make sure to comply with European regulations for trailer transport, including speed limits and proper marking of any overhanging parts such as the mast (reflectors, indication if extending beyond the license plate, etc.). Trailer storage in the harbor is included in the registration fee for the Worlds.

By ferry:
For teams coming from Portugal and Spain, a ferry can be a cost-effective option. During the 2023 Worlds in Baiona, several Belgian teams used a transport solution provided by CLdN RoRo S.A. Their cargo ships operate between Porto (Portugal) / Santander (Spain) and Zeebrugge (Belgium). If you have any questions, feel free to contact us. We can also connect you with transport services that can arrange the transfer from Zeebrugge to Nieuwpoort.

By plane:
We don’t expect any team to fly in their boat, but just in case – there is a cargo airport in the neighboring harbor of Ostend.

Too far?
Belgium is never to far! You can always rent a J/80 for the Worlds. Contact us for more information and references.
